Lights out at the museum
Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium will let the creatures of the night take over this summer.
The National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is going dark this summer, but don't worry –- it's only so the bats feel more at home.
Vampire bats, frog-eyed geckos, emperor scorpions, flashlight fish and other creatures of the night form the basis of "In the Dark," the next exhibit at the river museum.
The exhibit opens Sunday, June 5, and replaces "Women & Spirit:
Catholic Sisters in America" in the second-floor Norman Changing Gallery
of the river museum's William Woodward Mississippi River Center.
