Dubuque Main Street has recognized Matter, The Design Store With A Cause, as Outstanding New Retail Establishment at the 24th Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet. The ceremony, held on October 29, 2009, at Hotel Julien, recognizes excellence in progress for the greater Dubuque community.

Matter is a non-profit community arts project developed through the collective efforts of the Dubuque Art Center and Mission Creative. The store serves as a vehicle to support the work of innovative designers and artists while funding a range of art and youth mentoring programs throughout Dubuque.

Mission Creative is honored to have worked with Matter and looks forward to its continued success.
